ElectronicsRef is a static browser-based reference app for electronic components. It catalogs roughly 289 real parts: 51 logic ICs (7400/4000 series), 46 transistors, 43 MCUs, 75 dev boards, 16 diodes, 16 regulators, 20 sensors, and 22 modules, each with pinouts, specs, and tags.

How does it work?

All data ships in the page and runs in the browser with no backend or API calls. You search or browse by category to open a part's pinout and spec detail, decode resistor color bands or 3-digit capacitor codes both ways, star favorites (saved across reloads), and compare op-amps, MCUs, and SoCs on a 7-axis radar.

When should I use it?

Use ElectronicsRef when you need a quick pinout, forward voltage, regulator dropout, or sensor interface at the bench; to decode a resistor (e.g. read 4-band colors with gold = ±5%) or a capacitor code (104 = 100 nF); or to compare parts like LM358 vs TL072 by normalized score.

How do I decode a capacitor code like 104?

The first two digits are significant figures and the third is the multiplier in pF, so 104 = 10 x 10^4 = 100,000 pF = 100 nF. ElectronicsRef converts codes to values and values to codes bidirectionally.

How does the resistor color code tool work?

It maps 10 digit colors (black=0 to white=9) plus a multiplier and tolerance band (gold = ±5%, silver = ±10%). It works both ways: pick bands to get the resistance, or enter a resistance to get the standard 4-band code.

Does ElectronicsRef need an internet connection or account?

No. It is fully client-side static with no backend, no API calls, and no login. All catalog data, pinouts, and converters run in your browser; favorites are stored locally and persist across reloads.
