Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026. GOAT Lab ("we", "us") operates the website at goat-lab.net. This policy explains what data is and isn't handled when you use it.
What we collect
GOAT Lab is a fully static website. We do not run user accounts, login, or profiles, and we do not collect names, emails, or personal information through the tools themselves. Calculations and conversions happen locally in your browser.
Information stored on your device
We use your browser's localStorage to remember a small set of preferences — such as your chosen language and light/dark theme. This data never leaves your device and is not sent to us. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
Advertising & cookies
To keep GOAT Lab free, we display advertising from Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites:
- Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DoubleClick / Google ad cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized ads at aboutads.info/choices (or youronlinechoices.eu in the EU).
- For more information, see Google's advertising policies.
Where required (for example, for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland), a consent mechanism is presented before personalized advertising cookies are set.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) for anonymized, aggregate usage statistics that help us understand how GOAT Lab is used and improve it. It can read cookies or similar device identifiers, and processes an approximate location derived from your IP address together with the pages you view and the actions you take on the site.
- EEA, UK, and Switzerland: analytics cookies stay off by default until you give consent — Google Consent Mode v2 sets these regions to "denied" by default.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics in this browser with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking or deleting cookies from your browser's settings.
- See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes this data.
Children
GOAT Lab is a general-audience reference site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the site evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page. Questions about privacy can be sent to contact@goat-lab.net. See also our Contact page.
