What is PaperParts?

PaperParts is a static web tool that produces 117 customizable SVG figure parts for physics papers and presentations, organized in 13 categories (A–M): Feynman diagrams, waveforms, radiation, mechanics/EM, crystals, optics, chemistry, circuits, statistics, astronomy, crystallography, extended Feynman, and quantum information.

How does it work?

Each part is a parameter-driven SVG renderer. Pick a part, edit values via typed controls (number with min/max/step and units like px or °, color, select, boolean), add text labels, set a transparent/white/custom background, then export. PDF stays vector (1 viewBox unit = 1pt); EPS is hand-rolled Level 2.

When should I use it?

Use PaperParts when you need clean, vector physics diagram elements for a paper, thesis, or slide deck and want consistent, editable parts rather than hand-drawing. It fits LaTeX/PDF workflows (EPS, vector PDF), web use (SVG), and quick raster needs (PNG).

Frequently asked questions

How many parts does PaperParts include?

117 customizable SVG parts across 13 categories (A–M), covering Feynman diagrams, waveforms, radiation, mechanics/EM, crystals, optics, chemistry, electrical circuits, statistics, astronomy, crystallography, extended Feynman, and quantum information.

What export formats are supported?

Four: SVG, PNG, PDF, and EPS. PDF is vector via svg2pdf.js + jsPDF (1 viewBox unit = 1 point); EPS is a hand-rolled Encapsulated PostScript Level 2 output. Greek glyphs (α, β, γ, π…) are embedded so labels survive export.

Is PaperParts free and does it run offline?

Yes. PaperParts is fully client-side: rendering and export run in your browser with no server, account, or upload. No figure data leaves your device.

Can I edit parameters and labels?

Yes. Every part exposes typed controls (number with min/max/step and units such as px or °, color, select, boolean) and supports added text labels, plus transparent, white, or custom backgrounds.

What languages does the interface support?

Five: English, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese, and German (en/ja/es/zh/de), selected by URL path with English as the default and no prefix.
